Christmas

It's Christmas time!! Christmas Eve we went to Aunt Saundra's house for dinner and the kids got to open a few presents. After we ate and the kids opened some presents, we went to my parents house. My side of the family usually does a gift exchange, but we didn't participate in it this year. We spent the night at my parents house Christmas Eve so we could be there for Christmas Morning to open presents!

Christmas morning we opened up presents at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Auntie Ashley and Uncle Tommy stayed the night Christmas Eve so they would be there in the morning too! After presents, Grandpa cooked us breakfast. Then we had to get ready to go to MomMom and Poppy's house for more presents and food!

After Christmas at MomMom and Poppy's house, we finally had Christmas at our house and got to open the presents from Santa!!

A little catch up...

Wow! I just realized that I have not blogged since October of last year!! I'll do a little recap of the last few months that I have missed!

We were camping for Halloween at Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay in Gloucester, VA. When the kids were born and had to spend time in the Special Care Nursery at Norfolk General, there was a baby in their that stayed pretty much the same time frame as our kids. We got to know his parents a little bit and I have keep in touch with her through facebook. Her parents actually had a permanent site at the campground that we were staying at! Since the lived close, they asked us to go Trick or Treating with them and their two boys. So when Kevin got home from work we headed to Urbanna to meet up with them!

Hunter & Mason - Duck Dynasty
Brittany - Cinderella & Caitlyn - The Little Mermaid
Ashton - Firefighter
We go to the Urbanna Oyster Festival every year. This usually happens the first weekend of November. So we went back to Thousand Trails to camp again for the weekend. Friday night they usually have a Fireman's parade at the festival. It is a little too loud for the kids so we didn't go. Saturday morning we got up and went down to the festival. They have a bunch of different food and craft vendors, then they have a parade. The kids love to see all of the different floats and cars in the parade.

Thanksgiving time!!! We had Thanksgiving lunch at Kevin's parents house, then went to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner. After dinner, mom and dad watched the kids so we could do some Black Friday shopping. We didn't actually see anything in the ads that we really wanted, we just wanted to go out and see the madness! However, we actually did some good deals on some stuff! I didn't like that some of the deals started at 8pm! But we were back and in bed by midnight!

In December we took the kids to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. Our friends James and Amanda got us tickets and also got tickets to have Dinner with Santa!

We took the kids to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops again this year. They love to go there because they have free stuff for the kids to do.
