Fall Ball

Fall ball for Ashton is coming to an end this week. This was his 7th season at Phoebus Little League and since we moved, it is his last season. This was his first season in the Minors (Kid Pitch). He really enjoyed it. He got to pitch a few innings in the games and did amazing for his first time pitching. One thing I loved about this team was that the kids that have been playing for a few years welcomed the rookies with open arms. They always were telling them great job or helping them out when they weren't doing the correct thing. We will missed being out a Phoebus and seeing all of our friends playing ball that we have been with for the past few years!

Halloween

The campground does 2 Halloween weekends since they book up so fast. So the kids get lucky and get to trick or treat two weekends in a row at the campground. The first weekend, they dressed up in their costumes they are wearing on Halloween. Caitlyn was Super Girl, Brittany was Bat Girl and Ashton was Spider-Man. We walked around with our friends and their 4 boys. All of the kids had a great time and got a lot of candy!

The 2nd weekend of Trick or Treating, Ashton wanted to be a Skeleton instead of Spider-Man. The girls stayed what they were the previous week. So we went for round 2. Another 20lbs of candy! After we went trick or treating, we went down to the haunted walk-throughs. Ashton decided he wanted to try to scare people so he laid down in the front cemetery and jumped out at people as they walked by. He loved it.

And finally it's Halloween night!! Night number 3 of trick or treating for the kids. We will have enough candy in the house for years! Our friends live right down the street from us, so they invited us for over dinner and trick or treating with their family. The kids instantly hit it off with each other!

PJ Masks

Kevin's brother in law got us tickets to see PJ Masks Live at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach. We didn't tell the kids where we were going. We just told them that we had a surprise for them. When we got to the Sandler Center they saw all of the signs and it was like they were opening one of their favorite toys on Christmas morning. They were all so happy and excited.

Pumkpin Patch

Since we moved closer to my sister and brother in law, we were able to go with them to the Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a great time going on all of the bounce houses and playing around with each other. It also gave us a great opportunity to take some photos with each other!

First day of 2nd Grade

Summer went by so fast, it's time for school again. Only this time, we are in a new house, new city and new school. The kids started 2nd grade at Butts Road Primary in Chesapeake. They were a little nervous starting a new school since they didn't know any of their teachers or any kids in the school. When they got off the bus after the first day was over, Caitlyn said she got invited over to her friends house! I knew after day 1, they would be just fine and make friends easily!

Last day of 1st Grade

June 14, 2017, year 3 of school for the kids is over. 1st grade has come and gone. For some reason, this year has seem to fly right by! The kids had an amazing year in 1st grade. Caitlyn did not miss a single day of school! Brittany and Ashton missed 2-3 days. Their teachers this year were so good! Ashton and Brittany's teachers are moving up to 2nd grade and taking their classes with them so if we are still at Phillips next year, they will have the same teacher as this year.  When Ashton got off the bus today, he started crying because he didn't want it to be the last day of school yet. 2 years in a row he has done that. So after school today, we went to the library and got the kids library cards. They each checked out 3 library books to start reading. They enjoyed going to the library and checking out books! Now it's time to start summer!!
